Showcase 3

When I wake in the morning, a blank page; when I go to bed at night, paintings. Magic, I tell ya!

What to notice here: A small square of gray sketch paper; areas of high flow transparent brown, yellow, and red iron oxide acrylic paint; India ink lines, marks, and asemic writing; torn bits of painted and text collage; watercolor pencil scribbles; paint splatters; and amorphous patches of titanium white and light blue violet acrylic. Those materials and marks signify nothing.

And yet.

I feel as though I’ve been hiking around in rough scrub over uneven terrain under wide open skies in the sharp fresh air of Montana somewhere.

The alchemy of creative activity never ceases to amaze.

    1. Noticing is such a gift! LOL about these sketches’ looking like what you think Montana looks like—clearly I think so also, but what first hand knowledge do I have of Montana? None!!!
