Collage Botanica Diary, 5
Well, that was fun!
Today I started Session 2, Lesson 3 of Amanda Evanston’s Collage Botanica class, feeling apprehensive about taking the first step. But!—had a great time and came away light of heart.
When cleaning/decluttering/reorganizing recently, I came across a 12 x 12″ wood panel on which I’d previously started something. Probably two somethings. Decided to use it as a canvas for Session 2.

Reviewed Amanda’s video for Session 2: The Flower Shop, Lesson 3: Underlayers Are Everything, Step 1: Tinted Canvas. In the lesson, one starts with a blank canvas. I did not. Therefore, I had to overcome my all-too-familiar resistance to letting go.
Did it! Rotated my canvas and committed splashes of paint to its surface.

Spread the paint haphazardly with a squeegee, grabbed a chip brush and got some paint on the 3/4″ deep edges. Had fun!
