Have You Ever / February 15, 2024

Have You Ever

Time for a camp song I’ve sung countless times over the years, full voice, standing up, with hand motions.

Have you ever been a-fishin’
On a bright and sunny day
Seein’ all the little fishies
Swimmin’ in and out the bay
With their hands in their pockets
And their pockets in their pants
Seein’ all the little fishies
Do the hootchie-cootchie dance?

O-o-oh o-o-oh yes I been a-fishin’
On a bright and sunny day …

Have you ever had a friend send you an ounce of painted papers from her art-fodder stash?

O-o-oh o-o-oh YES I’ve had a friend …

a fraction of an ounce of painted paper as background;
thank you, MaryAnn!

  1. How fun is this!!! I did love that particular bit of paper….it came from several layers of gelli plate ghost prints from the grasses and plants near our pond! So using it for a gone fishin’ CutUp is absolutely perfect!

Thanks for the shoutout Dotty! I’m smiling ear to ear and doing a little hoochie-coochie dance!

    1. The little hoochie-coochie dance you’re doing is a perfect Body Groove move, MaryAnn!

That piece of paper of yours had ME smiling ear to ear. Gone fishin’, right? I figured it was a gelli plate print but hadn’t guessed it was several layers of ghost prints. I love everything about it, and now there’s even more to love. Grasses and plants near your pond!

      Joy every which way!

Take note of tomorrow’s CutUp also …

    1. Well, we’ll just have to go to family camp together up in NH, Lola. Nothing better than singing camp songs in the dining hall.

Thanks for cheering me on as I play with cut-out shapes. This is the longest I’ve stuck with a series, ever, I think!
