Love Doesn’t Come in a Minute

Don’t even ask.

Bigtime struggle with this piece. Not exactly sure how I get in my own way but am sure I do.

Eventually—after trying and failing, creating one problem after another, scrapping early ideas entirely, feeling sludgy and straight-jacketed, cursing more than once, laughing more than once, walking away more than once, walking toward more than once—here I am, and here is another CutUp taking its place in this series of experiments.

I celebrate the experimentation.

  1. Isn’t it odd how some pieces just come together, while others are such a struggle? But you persevered and this piece is magnificent! That loopy dip of white paint in the left side of the heart is everything!!!

  2. How much can happen because of a small piece of cardboard of 3,5 to 4,5″ and some scraps? Isn’t that a miracle?

Ironically, vis a vis trial and error, it both frustrates and fuels me : )
