Whole New Way of Seeing

Early in my years of active parenting, a friend directed my attention to Whole Child, Whole Parent by Polly Berrien Berends.

I had no idea at the time that it was the gift of a turning point.

Beautiful cards! I have come to the conclusion that each time I look at my own work and others online and in the Museum, I seem to see different things, new colors and shapes, new relationships!

One of the (many) gifts of art is its ability to teach us that we are constantly changing; each time we see a painting we are a new person.

Thanks, Carol.

Goodness gracious! What a series of paintings this is! Love them all! I don't know the book...maybe best not to uncover my mistakes? ha ha!

So glad you like this series, Jen—it's a series of found compositions that are tickling me with delight.

The book is a spiritual one. No mistakes.

The road that leads to the road. Yeah, I get that.
I am seeing these backwards I think. And I love them all. What a fabulous display they will make all together.
These have a native feel to me. Southwestern. Indigenous. Timeless.
Delightful - YES, YES, YES!

Backwards, forwards, all good—thanks for visiting and commenting, Sheila. Thanks for being a road that leads to roads. I see the native in these also and am delighted to have you point it out.
