Your noticing and being able to read that incomplete and unclear word makes ME smile! I like how that word is cut off with a straight edge as is the light blue behind the large meadow flower.
Carol, thanks! I continue to be drawn to use of print collage even when it later gets covered. I like painting with snippets of print collage, using it for color matching or contrast or texture or mystery or …
I love this painting as well as the evocative "tangle of meadow." We had a chance to stay at a friends place in France a number of years ago, and I would ride past a gorgeous, almost endless 'tangle of meadow" on our bikes. Actually, I almost could not ride past it, and would stand mesmerized by the colors and textures in the changing light of day until I would have to pull myself away. Your piece holds me mesmerized in the same way.
If/when there is a safe conclusion to this virus I would love to visit this creation, up close and personal. Will it reside chez Seiter permanently?
Carolyn! Totally delighted that Finding God in a Tangle of Meadow is so evocative for you—and what fun hearing about your very own real live tangle-of-meadow experience in France!
If/when there is a safe conclusion to this virus, come on by to 'visit this creation'! It is sheltering at home chez Seiter for the duration, and thus far has no plans to leave. It doesn't even leave to get groceries.

The irony of the word "vision" being incomplete and unclear makes me smile. :)

I just love all the snippets of text and how they add to this mosaic!
