I love that you're working in black and white! It rules out so much (color...), and it leaves the bare bones of every painting: lines, marks, shapes, texture. I love it!
Pat Butynski BundleUp package. This exercise comes from the first part of the course which focuses on the basic elements of design, beginning with line and b&w as the limitations within which to work.
The half circle and diagonal rays were what I added most recently in this piece.
Thanks, Simone! Working with the bare bones is proving to be just what I need to do right now. The limited palette and focus push me in ways I welcome.

What course are you taking? Everything pointing to the half-circle! It has all the visual weight.

I have been staring at this for far too long. Haha. Love it! :)
