Ann, your comment came at just the right time. These b&w's with line work are part of a lesson in a downloaded course I'm taking, and they are humbling me as I bump into feeling surprisingly lost. Your encouragement is a welcome infusion!
I believe these mark making experiments are so valuable! For learning about composition, for improving your mark making, but most important: they're so much fun! Not only to do, but also to look at.
Simone, yes! So much value and learning and facing of challenges and having fun with these exercises. I am particularly struck by how much inner activity takes place.
I'm happy for the byproduct of their being fun to look at : )
Did you spy my infusion of natura artis magistra??!

I love everything about this Dotty. :) Carry on creative one! Haha :o)
Sheila, thank you. This dedicated mark-making exercise is surprisingly challenging for me; I'm grateful to have cheerleaders!

Carol, thank you once again for commentary on the visual language emerging on the page. Ink and paint thus far here.
