You know how we don't talk about retirement anymore? We talk about redirection?
I'm ready to redirect as a distortionist. I'm already having grand fun spiffing up my résumé.
First, a teaser before the actual reveal—art every which way I turn:

I really like this one. It's quirky and intriguing. Keep creating.

Thanks, Ann. I love the quirkiness and intrigue that come from blind contour drawing, a practice that helps me make inroads into steering clear of the pull of 'preciousness'—I still remember your mention of preciousness to Sylvia and me at our art retreat weekend (now already 8 years ago!) and your encouragement not to be precious in our painting.
So fun and fresh! The backside is like something in a dream, half there, half not. LOL. Love your playfulness Dotty :)
That backside is fascinating, isn't it, in its half-there-half-not-ness! Thanks for your nod to my playfulness, Sheila—always grateful when playfulness and I join hands : )
Love everything. Strong tonal contrasts and the leak sketch on the backside! Yess, sometimes we have to edit out our "precious darlings"
Carol, thanks for your feedback on visual language—my tonal choices were conscious and I'm grateful for your notice of the tonal contrasts : )
