Spent a completely contented half hour or so mucking about with color-mixing, palette-knife-wielding, mark-making, oil-pastel scribbling, and paper-crumpling. An efficacious prescription for well-being.
That apricot color works so well with the greens. I see a goat head, sheep heads and maybe duck too! Wonderful what one can do with a little bit of scribble!
The greens were fun b/c they came entirely from color mixing black, yellow, and white. So much fun that you see animal shapes in here—I didn't even think to look for emergent shapes/images! Thanks, Carol.
Yellows and black make my favorite greens. I also make my own black. Raw umber + Ultramarine blue. Have started to use buff titanium makes great mixes!
