So my small computer/studio room is also a "study" WOW! Another meaning that I found on the web from Merriam Webster "a state of contemplation : REVERIE"... and "such application in a particular field or to a specific subject" Love those green studies! Thank you my language mentor!
Simone, moving critical pieces into this living room/guest room/piano room was actually not too hard. Dave reassembled my retro 1950's table, and then it was a matter of moving chairs, some crates, some small modular stacking drawers. The hardest part of that was LOCATING where each item was in the mess upstairs. Finally, we figured out lighting. Having this set-up makes a TREMENDOUS difference in my being able to function.
Green experiment started in Virginia with what I had on hand. Will see if I can keep it moving today. My studio is NOT set up!
LOVe that old table. LOVE your new temporary space, the artwork inspiration, the candles, the books. The light. LOVE the marks in the paint. Circle with a cross in it. Feel like I should know what that is from. It's cool no matter :)
Sheila, LOVE that you have such an eye for and appreciation of detail. Your I-spy enumeration of elements in the room and in my painting was such a lift at the end of a day that challenged me with many snafus. Thank you! The stamped circle with the cross in it in my painting came the little orange cylinder barely visible on the right in the photo—it was one of those dohickeys that (i think) wick moisture away from capsules in a pill bottle.

Smiling at all aspects of your comments, Carol. Thank you for the smile to start my day.
This looks like a lot of work in a day!
And I love your green experiment. I need to get my hands green again too ;-)!

How neat is THAT? Very neat. Functionality is key to internal composure and balance as an artist, I think. Even if temporary, it is a good thing!
Very neat, Jen! You got it! The modicum of functionality I've established has made a tremendous difference in my composure and balance. whew!
