If I Am Very Still

Thrumming With Energy

Notes about poem and art:
• I enjoy working with the haiku form, having something I wish to say and 17 syllables at my disposal with which to say it; three lines—of 5 syllables, then 7, then 5.
• The turning point with my recent art-in-progress took place when I went to my paper trimmer to cut from the whole a handful of wanna-be bookmarks. Four of them are arranged here, glued to backing to make them sturdy enough for eventual use.
• The stillness to which I refer in this post’s title is the stillness needed to find my way to truth in all endeavors.

    fall with abandon

Please know that my subsequent post, already circling the airport and scheduled to be cleared for landing on Wednesday, so to speak was written before your comment above.

    1. Roseanne, I am suddenly surrounded by with poems circling in a holding pattern hoping I will clear them for landing and transcription! This has never before been the case for me!

I like the color palette for these not-quite-yet-bookmarks also. In answer to your question: moving in that direction (you know me well!).

  6. Love the title of the poem. It’s a gift if one can become that still, so clearance can come through.

    1. SUCH a gift, that stillness, always there even when I get caught up in noise and distraction. I am so grateful when I can reconnect.
