Henry Higgins to Colonel Pickering, in My Fair Lady, about women:
Their heads are full of cotton, hay, and rags!
My head—the head of this fair lady artist—is decidedly full of cotton, hay, and rags lately. Nonetheless, off to my studio I go. I make a start at clearing my head.

BAH! BAH! BAH!
Love the shadows of the torn piece and the embossing they make under the paint! Nothing like creativity to clear the head and soul.
Carol, are you familiar with the song A Hymn to Him from My Fair Lady? Worth a listen! One of my dad's favorites!
Tearing a book page and arranging the pieces on a sheet of paper that was catching winter afternoon sunlight were gifts in themselves. The light and the shadows! Glad they caught your eye, too, along with the textural component under the paint : )
Love seeing your process! And I am guessing your head has a lot more in it that cotton, hay and rags!
Color! LOL :) Moving :)
I'm poking around the cotton, hay, and rags to see what else I might locate, Lola! Thanks for your encouragement!
Sheila, I needed that color! That movement! Chances to LOL! Thanks for attuning to my studio play.
I both love the small pieces of text and the color on top of it!
You know that play and fun through lived experience : )
