Here's a photo of us a few months after that birthday.
We've made a serious number of revolutions around the sun since that May 13th, but we're hanging out together this May 13th also, with daughters #4 and #5 joining in the fun.
Although my dad most likely won't be tossing me up in the air as part of the festivities, I'd say we still lift each other up in countless ways : )
Happy birthday to us, Futh!
I took this playboard from April 2,
and fiddled around with it till I had a birthday card.

Love how the soft blue green is like fog in a dream, leading me into a happy jumble of colorful memories. Bits and pieces that my logical mind tries to unify and identify. But no matter. If the scenes can not be restored, the feelings are still intact. Joy, excitement, bliss.
Sweet dreams are made of this.
;) Happy Birthday to you both!!
Thank you, Sheila. The soft blue green came from applying paint with a make up sponge, a brush, and a brayer, and from softening and texturing it further with tissue paper. I like your image of ineffable unidentifiable particulars that jumble together emanating joy, excitement, and bliss. Thanks for the birthday wishes : )
What a joyful day this is! Happy birthday to you and your dad!!! I agree with Sheila...the soft blue green is dreamy and the perfect contrast to the happy colorful jumble. :)
Yup, a joyful day with my dad and two of my sisters, then home to be with my hubby : )
Thanks for your nod to the dreamy and the jumble!
Happy, Happy Birthday Dotty! Wishing you and your dad a wonderful day and a year filled with the best of everything! You have me smiling with this post (not that I don't usually!) Love the picture of you and your dad. The card is perfect - the bright colourful shapes against that background just sparkle. ox
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Janet, and for your enjoyment of the photo of me and my dad and your enjoyment of the card I painted for him : )
Love the photo, love the bright, happy card. Happy birthday, daughter #1!
