Plus, being in this class (my first online interactive class) reminds me of my high intensity interval training classes at the Y. Having an instructor who gives me directions and pushes me to do way more than I'd do on my own, plus having classmates who are working/playing hard at the same time—can't beat the combo for accountability and benefit.
I started to find some voice and flow today.
Way cool.
I've created a second series of three paintings whose starts all used the same color palette. In each I've
• used paints of varying opacities,
• created varying opacities by lifting paint, mixing paints, using glazing medium, or scraping back,
• covered most of the original speed start, and
• left part of the start completely uncovered.

So cool! These are delightful - what class are you taking? I enjoy your before and after photos, and think you definitely are finding voice and flow.
Hi Brenda, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I'm grateful for your vote of confidence! I'm taking Jane Davies' 100 DRAWINGS, description at the bottom of this page .
Awesome! Boy you are keeping busy :)
These are marvelous! The development is amazing. Do you think the course would be suitable for oils? A little out of my finances, but from what you are doing and developing worth the investment.
Thanks for your thumbs up, Sheila.
Re keeping busy—yes. Too, I think. Need to find better balance.
Carol, thanks for your accolades!
Suitable for oils? I've never worked in oils, so can't fully advise you, but the class is fast-paced and intense. Doesn't sound like oils to me. However, just email Jane Davies and ask.
Hi Dotty,
What a wonderful development in your paintings!
I agree, the fact that we are making SO much really gives a great possibility for growing and learning.
Thanks, Simone. I am overwhelmed and tired from the intensity of this class, but what a gift it is!
I love Jane Davies' work - and I LOVE what you are doing. Brilliant!!! Paint on!
Thought as much. Sent out a post
Thinking about the downloadable on abstracts.
Isn't Jane's work yummy?
Thanks for your encouragement with my own painting!
