Hi Dotty! This looks really good! I really think these assigments of Jane can help us very much. I was not so sure last week, but this week feels better ;-)
Connie, thanks for your feedback—vibrant and melodic: great words! This painting is nothing I would likely have painted on my own without the impetus of the class I'm taking, but it did end up singing to me in a lively way : )
Thank you, Sheila. Playful is the name of the game, don'tcha think? I like the blend of scribbles and slightly more deliberate marks in this piece—all part of playing and discovering.
Carol, thanks. Appreciate your nod to my showing the progressions. I post them both for my own record and because I love seeing progressions in others' posts. Glad to be bringing smiles : )

Hi Simone, thanks for your input. This particular piece felt sort of methodical and assignment-driven as I made it (because, in fact, I wanted to follow the assignment carefully!), but it ended up being bright and fun—nothing I would have come up with without the assignment/lesson. Then, every piece after that has become more intuitive. I can tell I'm learning quite a bit with these assignments.

So playful Dotty, makes me smile!! I love the colors and scribbles :)
looking at the PC but commenting on the phone. Love seeing the progressions. The reds and oranges sing. Agree with Sheila, brings a smile.
