(Parenthetical Project) 9

Each morning

a walking meditation

before dawn.

A mind-viewing

a moon-viewing

a sniffing of washed air.

A tasting of sharp wind-refreshment

a trickle of whisper in a storm drain

a stretching of calf muscles

an aligning of spine

a striking of foot on street.

An attunement,

an opening,

a flow.

The agitative movement in "agitations" made me chuckle! Like a nod to the movement in a washing machine. And now I must go sniff some "washed air." Love that!

Jen, I like your nod to the movement in a washing machine; gives a different spin (unwitting pun acknowledged) to the word agitation —— has a more positive connotation than I usually assign to the word.

One of my favorite parts of my daily predawn walking meditation is consciously breathing in the morning air through both my noee and mouth —— sniffing out its temperature, humidity, freshness.

The calm before the storm! The circle marks trying to contain the many distractions that try to keep us busy!

Carol, thank you for sharing what you see in the circular marks. Love the feedback!

Somehow I see a smile here, and there really isn't one. I see a furry little curious creature ready to roam the fields! :)

Off goes that furry little creature, smiling, to sniff out, explore, and savor each moment of its day. Love learning what you see, Sheila : )
