LOL!! Brings to mind an 8 year-old boy w/ whom we shared a table in the dining hall at family camp several years ago. He'd arrive at breakfast ahead of the rest of his family, head for the chocolate syrup container, squeeze at least an inch of that sweet goo into a glass, add a little milk, and have at it!
I love your experiments! And I can relate to the 'horrible indoor lightning'! Now the days are getting shorter over here, I miss the painting in daylight... Soon it will be wintertime, and then it's definitely over with painting in the late afternoon or evening...
Experiments, experiments! This one irritated me many times over; I'm grateful to have enough experience with experiments, messy middles, and 'ugly' paintings to be able to let it be what it is and to know it will be the catalyst for something entirely different before I call it 'finished.'
I am also immeasurably grateful for this week of being OUTDOORS for so many hours every day, in wiiiiiiide open space!
So amused that this 'mess' is evoking so many images. Strawberry milk! Your mention of strawberry milk reminds me of the deLICious coffee milk I used to make myself for summer lunches back in the day, to go w/ either tomato or cucumber sandwiches on whole wheat w/ mayo : )
