of erroneous survival-seeking thoughts,
it is very hard to give them up.
We dare not give them up for good
until we see that they are not necessary.
The secret is to give them up
for just one moment.
Just for one moment.

"The secret is to give them up for just one moment" - oh, that right there. What I needed on this day. How did you know? Those rocks/boulders/pebbles are the grounding spot. I will sit on them and gaze at the rest of this piece. :)
I'll sit with you, Jen. Aren't those rocks just the perfect grounding spot? I drafted this post several days b/f publishing but —– hahaha! —— the message is what I needed AGAIN on this day, too, in addition to when I drafted it.
Just one moment. Powerful.
This just feels like home. Like a place I want to be, for a very long time. :)
Just one moment. Yup. It feels like home because that one moment is in the fact the place we want to be, and when we are fully there in that one moment, it is timeless and therefore 'a very long time.' Thanks for your reflections and feedback, Sheila.
That quote really hit me in the face. Been troubled with "ghosts from the past" since the end of September. Have to let them GO even if it's just for the moment! Yes, the pebbles, great grounding place!
Yup, just for the moment. No better place to start. Rinse and repeat.
