Wellspring

… a wellspring of gratitude: a few minutes in my studio when I thought no such minutes might be available. I come away with a lift in my heart and spirit.

Blank canvas becomes canvas with marks and colors, a starting place, a wellspring for whatever the next marks and colors might be.

Every minute in the studio is precious! Luscious textures! Paper or collage? What a gift.. the blank page in a few strokes becomes a new beginning!

Carol,

Yes!—every moment in the studio a gift!

Yes!—the blank page in a few strokes becomes a new beginning : )

This is another card stock 3.5 x 5" postcard with two pieces of cut canvas collage on it at the moment (upper right and lower left).

I love painting starts....all the potential and possibility in the world in those things. Unfettered dreams. And knowing your process, seeing past progressions, this start will knock our socks off in short order. :)

Jen, thanks for your filled-with-light cheerleading! Regardless of outcome, I am deeply grateful for the joy of the start yesterday : )

Love those textures, and depth. Made with JOY, and seen with JOY :)

Textures supplied by collaged bits of canvas—blank corners from a 'page' of canvas torn from a pad and first used to capture leftover paint from my brush 5 years ago! Sheila, happy my joy was contagious!
