• laughing out loud when the last of eleven November poster calendars I'd affixed to the family room walls as seasonal decoration fell to the floor because the masking tape had no sticking power
• feeling my just-sharpened chef's knife chop through bok choy at lunch time
• spreading black gesso onto card stock with a brush

This piece is scrumptious. I am again gobsmacked by your ability to make a HUGE impact with a small piece of art. This piece - I am imagining it five feet tall instead of 5 inches. Whoa.
Jen, fun to hear your feedback. I was JUST thinking about 'canvas' size this morning in response to having thought a bunch last night (either in my sleep or between sleep cycles) about what I'll paint today. In the light of day I thought: how will THAT fit on a 3.5 x 5" postcard? But, experience tells me, somehow it probably will.
(I magnified this and my brain took off on a wild thought tangent.) OH, my gosh Dotty!! How funny to find that you and I have been thinking on the same thing. Kind of. I am working on a project, that sort of resembles your layers of earthy goodness.
I LOVE this! I can see it as a huge luscious area rug, or a giant wall hanging. Made me laugh when I finally looked at the size. ;)
Ok, I've gone back to look four times now, I have to close this page and get some work done. LOL :)
Your comments provide such a sweet lift in the middle of a gray November day in which I have more to do than I will EVER get done. Love hearing that you're working on a project that sort of resembles my "layers of earthy goodness." Fun!
Yes! … a huge luscious area rug or a giant wall hanging! I can SO see either one, even though I did NOT until you opened my eyes!
And I'm LOL that you LOL when you finally looked at the size of this itty bitty piece : )
Ditto your closing sentence.
Yes this is immense! A giant American Indian wall hanging! Love the muted tones and memories of fall!
LOL all over again at the perceived immensity of this piece. A giant American Indian wall hanging! Love that, Carol! Appreciate your nod to its muted tones and memories of fall.
