Noticing #4

noticing:

• the music of rain drumming on our cottage roof
• grouchiness at the discomfort in my painting process this morning
• joy in purchasing real food at the local farmer's market
• how I come alive when I engage in curiosity
• internal arguments running round and round my mind

Snippets of thoughts and snippets of images, what a wonderful combination. You are a true poet of words and paint!

Thanks, Carol! I like how you saw this post as a wonderful combination of snippets of thought and snippets of language. Have to laugh cuz this 'true poet of words and paint' yesterday felt clumsy, prosaic, and pedestrian!

Candy colored cupcakes, pitter pattern, clouds and sky and sun setting, EXCLAMATION marks the spot. :) (I see a face on the left of #1. He is shouting to be heard. Has a collared shirt on.) ;o)

Your inner arguments make me curious. I still LOVE the results of all the grouchiness and discomfort!

Oh gosh.....these pieces are absolutely beautiful. I love them all together in a row. Each completely different, yet they speak to each other. Like Simone, I am wondering about those arguments...:)

Simone, thank you for loving the results of all the grouchiness and discomfort!

Inner argument examples: I'm not sure I even want to paint today. Well, but you know how much you love embodying your vacations on paper through paint. I know, but 'fitting it in' feels other than relaxing. So don't paint. Maybe I won't! Maybe I'll paint but not post. Posting feels too non-vacationy. Understood, but don't forget you actually elected, after not posting except rarely for the past six months, to take the defined period of 8 days away to paint experimentally and write short short posts …

And on and on.

Jen, thanks for the feedback! There are so many gifts that come from posting on line and having the feedback of a few faithful followers to widen my lens and see from new perspectives. Thank you for being one of those valued commenters! See my reply to Simone for a sampling of arguments.

How'd I miss this comment two days ago?

As ever, grateful for all you see and then share with me! I haven't found the face yet …
