The canvas I worked on last Wednesday, a free canvas already painted previously by someone else and set out for grabs in their yard about a year ago, tugged at me off and on over the past few days. I let myself be tugged.
I knew you'd appreciated the pre-painted volunteer canvas, Jen! Thanks for the feedback re mental excavation. Perfect! It was born of mental excavation and manifested as mental excavation!
Keep in mind that I also have countless 'free canvases' of my own making—piled up in significant abundance just waiting for me to paint over what I painted previously. No end of fodder!
Thanks for your feedback, Carol. I, too, am glad something brought me back.

Promising geometry. ;)
Linguistically delicious comment—thanks, Sheila! I did like geometry when I studied it in school.
oooooh! Those pre-painted canvases are THE BEST! And this one...it calls for mental excavation. What's under there? Where does that line lead me?
