Just love that burst of color!

Thanks, Carol! This was another piece in which my limited supplies and materials forced decisions and learning, and to which I eventually applied lessons learned from the negative-space inquiry I undertook starting in August.

Wondering if that dull blue green is old house paint you sometimes use. And dull is not the right word. Muted. As it is the perfect compliment to everything around it. Had to magnify this one. Just wonderful all the textures and details. The minute I saw it on my screen, I felt happy! :)

How lovely! I personally would change a thing about this piece, but of course, it's up to you. I hope you're enjoying your trip, and time away. Fall is the best time to visit WV.

The muted blue green IS latex house paint, Sheila—big points to you!!! I mostly used a set of bright high-flow transparent acrylics in this one, so was glad I had the duller, thicker, opaque latex sample on hand, too. And a kitchen fork for texture! Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for your feedback, Katie (am I correct in thinking you meant to say you would NOT change a thing about this piece?), and for your good wishes for our time in WV which was perfect in every way.
