It's good to have several series in progress. According to Jerry, one of my instructors, a series is at least 12-15 paintings. I usually work on several pieces simultaneously. I have 4 now. One in what I call my figure series, and 3 in Dead Sea series. Never boring in the studio! So BRAVO!
Carol, I'm sitting here nodding my head in recognition of the value and delights of series and in appreciation of your encouragement and recognition for my bravely moving forward with this series into territory I don't typically investigate—I've been known more than once to start with the intention of painting a series but have instead ended up veering off in response to a distraction, all thoughts of my intended series left in the dust!
