Love the orange mixing with pink mixing with red mixing with yellow :) Cool Yo-Yo string lines tempt me to follow. here and there, oh and way over there :)
Sheila, your observations cheer me along. You picked up on exactly what I had fun playing with—the orange pink red yellow gig, AND you named my straight lines in such a magnificent way, while simultaneously letting me know how they played out visually for you. Awesome.
Jen, thank you. I am encouraged to keep playing with this piece, to keep the warmth and invitation going, to offer up whispers and laughter to listen to :)
Simone, thanks for your kind words … about MY words! As you know, writing is another creative adventure I like to take part in, and one I like to interface with painting. It was fun to write haiku last week which, in addition to painting, offered a way to respond to what I was living at camp (and a way to have short posts!). My painting and my writing didn't have to "go together" in any discernible way, but both expressions bubbled up from my camp experience in the moment.

Thanks for your own campfire memories, Carol, and for feedback on my playing with this postcard.

I love your poems as much as your paintings! (I keep repeating myself I guess. Love to have you back by the way;-))
