Futh sits in the den playing chess via internet with someone somewhere else in this wonderful webbed world.
I sit where Muth used to sit on the loveseat in the nook in the dining area, open up my traveling art kit, and become pure contentment.
This postcard holds it all: the quietly gray wintry Friday, the anticipation of snow, the father-daughter companionship, the mother-daughter memories, the day off from routines and responsibilities at home, the complete presence of creating art.

Juicy, like a box full of Jujubes!
Sheila, love the Jujubes evocation—perfect! Help yourself!
Oh...the memories.....I was standing in line in the movie theater once eating a jujube. Suddenly, I had more than a jujube on my tongue......a crown. I turned around, and my dentist was standing behind me! Nevertheless, the art work is cool, Dotty!! What a very cool postcard. Maybe we could team up with my stamps (thanks for the compliment!).
Laughing at your wonderful Jujube story!
Oh my gosh, we could make the coolest postcards and stamps together—can't believe I didn't make the connection; delighted that you did!
Love the postcard and the beautiful images you painted with your words.
Thanks, Joje. Next time you visit Futh you can look at the postcards in person, as he keeps them in a little stack on the tiny table perched at the loveseat in the dining area nook : )
