Isn't it amazing where line, shapes, texture, color can take us! Breathtaking!

I'm increasingly fascinated by the history of paintings as the history of my own paintings gets richer and richer and the process itself shifts more and more to in-the-moment adventure.

Carol, yes! I love the mystery of the process.

Thanks : )

Dotty this is magnificent! Bravo. Love how the chaos is is hidden beneath such a vision of calm and.. control. Love the texture that is really only visible if you get up close to see. Love the simplicity (that really isn't), the strength, the serenity. The promise of a new day.
Again you leave me stunned, in the most delightful way!!
That deep, dark corner pulls me in. The perfect compliment, and balance for everything around it.
I am guessing this is in the dining room. And I am probably wrong. But I am imagining, me sitting at the table, with a cup of tea, enjoying this view. Thank you Dotty :)

Sheila, thank you for sitting down with me over a cuppa, and sharing your reflections. Such a gift! I love hearing observations from your creative eye and heart. Especially smiled when you affirmed the "simplicity (that really isn't)" because it so meshes with the experience of painting this piece : )
