Just closing shop and happened on the blog. Somehow this reminds me of the beach. Maybe because of the details, weed like scribbles, among rock shapes. Love the shapes and colors, especially the purples.
Carol, thanks for your comments. Love that Just Kidding, in its current iteration, makes you think beach with weed-like scribbles among rock shapes. I also like the shapes and colors. This piece definitely started taking on a landscape feel at some point, while maintaining a strong measure of indefinability and doesn't-really-make-sense.
I love that the eye and mind will take in visual info, seek patterns, go through previous files to see what matches up, give a little shout-out to the emotions and psyche to see what they might have to say, and 'finds' or 'makes' something of what's on the canvas.
Thanks, Sheila! Yes to the details—featuring them lets viewers see more of what I see when I look at a piece, stuff the camera can't always capture as well in the big-picture view.

It makes sense to the eye and mind!

Really love this, and I love the details even more. Such fun mini masterpieces!!
