Spring Morning
One spring morning many many moons ago, when Meg, Scott, Jay, and I visited the Wenham Library every week, Pat Purdy had a lush arrangement of lilacs at the circulation desk in what I realized was a perfect vase for lilacs. I think of her every May when I mass magnificent lilacs of my own into my ceramic yard-sale knock-off vase.
