I'm out of town today but moved forward with
30/30 Vision—for which I actually have next to
no vision!—before traveling. I added more oranges and blues, mixing values and hues on my canvas as I painted. I offset those colors with neutrals in some sections. I let it all dry. Then I came in with oil pastels to fiddle around. I love scribbling with pastels.
The painting as a whole doesn't float my boat yet but here's work-in-progress as seen in close-up details:

Oh yeah, I am feeling it!! Love the scribbles and the sun shiny palette!!! Have a great trip :)
Thank you and thank you! Glad you like the scribbles and sun shiny palette. Having a great trip—ended up doing sweet impromptu intergenerational yoga with my daughter and her family this evening (they drove five hours from VA yesterday, we drove five hours from MA, and here we are together having what we lovingly call A Very Scranton Christmas together).
Love your phrase, float my boat. Maybe our boats will meet up on the sea of adventure. Lots of nice colors and textures, gives off a positive feel, maybe need some calm water!
Well put, about that sea of adventure! I'd say we've already met out there.
Perhaps calm water is just over the horizon : )
Very much like your experimenting. I love the colours and I feel something free starting to come out. Am I right?
PS: if we do not meet each other elsewhere in virtual space: have a wonderful time away! I will not be posting and painting probably (maybe posting on instagram out of my archive - don't know yet)
bye!
Simone
Simone, thanks for your support as I experiment. I have flashes of loving the colors and the sparks of something free. I have just the littlest hint that I might actually bring this current investigation to some resolution.
Thank you—we DID have an absolutely wonderful time away. Now I am reorienting back at home. Thanks for letting me know you probably won't be posting and painting today. Similarly, I don't know WHAT this week will hold for me. I'm hoping to paint and post, but don't know yet if I will be able to!
Ah: I did not understand you well: you already have been away! I thought you were going to be away (next week or so). I will be 'out of virtual reality' (except maybe Instagram) from 23 december until 8 december. I think. And might need 9 januari to get starting up my new working year again! But until 22 december I hope to keep painting!
Would be lovely. I can feel that in the painting - the colours, the marks - they feel free...
The time away was Fri/Sat/Sun, and now I am back in busy busy busy mode on all fronts. Thanks for letting me know you'll be 'out of virtual reality' for a chunk of time—I'll miss you. But, I will also be a bit in and out during that time.
