Barb, thanks for commenting on this card. Baby's arrival was particularly poignant because his Grandma, my husband's sister, died about eight weeks before he was born. As I revisit my painting now, I feel as though I am looking through a little opening in the curtain—an opening that often occurs at birth and death—to catch a glimpse of the vast mystery underlying what we know here on earth.
