I'm hoping to get a similar frame for the painting I'm in the process of creating to give with our donation to Norway Center—I'd like that painting to rotate around to whomever might need a little extra attention or lift. Could be a resident. Could be folks at the front desk. Could go into the physical therapy room or in an office. Wherever it goes, it can be propped in place to provide someone a little something new and different to look at. And then, when the time is right, it can go to the next person.
I paint up another option to consider for Norway Center. I use acrylics, ink, and pastels. I play with soothing watery imagery, with softnesses, with colors that carry gentle energy, with space that allows me to go as deep as I want or to float on the surface.
A Soft Place to Land 5x7", acrylic, ink, wax pastels, and oil pastels on canvas paper abstract 2015 available $35 as of 2/2016 |

Wonderful reason to make art Dotty. Trying to give hope a chance to float up :)
Hi Sheila, I like your turn of words re giving hope a chance to float up. Thanks.
I like your words, too, Sheila! This piece is soft, serene, and peaceful.......
Thanks for your words, too, Laurie. I am held tenderly in this buffered space.
What a wonderful idea to do!
I like art that is 'wandering around', available for anybody who needs it at that time!
Simone
Thanks, Simone. I am eager to get a finished painting up to the Norway Center. The idea of a painting's being able to circulate pleases me.
