But, ta da—not only did I paint every day for 30 days but also I created a photo collage of a bunch of my September paintings!
Look between the brush strokes:
Can you see the new friendships?
The encouragement flying from one painter to another?
The tips?
The techniques?
The energy?

What an awesome achievement, Dotty! I love how you arranged them together. Kudos to you! What's on tap for the month of October?!
Thanks for your accolades! I would ordinarily have given more attention to the actual arrangement of paintings than I did, but I was already pushing my luck to have accomplished that much with the program I was using and I feared I'd lose the whole shootin' match if I didn't just post the collage presto hasto. In answer to your question re October, all will be revealed soon : )
As I looked at your collage I recalled all of the angst that went into the layout of the album we made Muth and Futh years ago. I pictured you grappling with the same indecision!
Congratulations, Dotty, for completing the challenge and also for the very nice collage you created.
Until next January?
I look forward to fiddling with a future collage, but this one—once I figured out how to get pictures into the format at all—involved no indecision. The photos landed where they landed, and I posted immediately!
Martine, congratulations to you also. Your art is beautiful. I enjoyed looking at the many ways you express yourself. The colors and lines are very inviting. Until January!
Dotty,
I love what you said today about your September experience. Well stated!
Congratulations for completing the Challenge.

What a fabulous post Dotty! Bravo! And your collage is awesome! I really enjoyed seeing your art each day, and I hope you will think about taking part in January! Best wishes, and happy painting to you :)
Thanks, Connie. The September experience was a huge gift. Congrats to you, too, for completing the challenge. Your collage is beautiful, as is your art. I am fascinated by your being able to paint so strongly from intuition. I want to know more! I want to watch you paint!
Thanks, Sheila. Glad you enjoyed my post and my collage. I wanted to call you when I couldn't navigate some of the ins and outs of Picmonkey, but I finally figured out enough to get a collage and post. I'm guessing we'll both be on board for January—fun!
Beautiful work and I truly admire your commitment to painting each day. No small feat! Your self-portrait makes me smile. :)
Thanks, Meredith! September already seems like a lifetime ago. The following lines from Ann Tyler's "Ladder of Years" came to mind last evening:
"“It seems this morning took place way back in prehistory,” Delia told them, and then she climbed the stairs to Eliza’s room, so weary that she had to haul her feet behind her like buckets of cement." Glad my self-portrait makes you smile; it makes me smile, too!
