Overflowing

A plethora on my mind today.

A plethora on my plate.

Decided not to paint.

But danged if I didn't find myself in my studio, brush in hand, all details and tasks related to bathroom renovation, tutorial correspondence, bill paying, osteoporosis, and estate planning abandoned.

Started another patch. Used iPhoto to look at it in grayscale.

Good for you ! Those other mundane chores can wait, they are not going anywhere, but that burst of creativity, if not used, gone forever! I love using the filter in the phone camera to check tones in B&W. Looks like it needs some light!

So glad you ended up in your happy space. Even if it was against your conscience will. LOL :) Awesome fun textures here. :)

Carol, thanks for affirmation of saying buh-bye to the long list and saying yes to my studio!

*I* need some light, too!

I'm always grateful when my heart speaks louder than my head. Yes, a textural investigation going on here! Thanks for your appreciation of same, Sheila.

Painting over the mundane chores - wow decisions decisions - looks like we are all in consensus that you made the right choice! The textures and mark making really show up in the greyscale.

I'm always happy to be reinforced for choosing painting over all else—thanks, Janet! I don't often think to shift over to greyscale but of course I always gain perspective when I do. Like you, I noticed and appreciated how the textures and mark making made themselves known.
