Layer 8/100

Gentle rain tapping on the skylight.

Gentle layers going onto my work in progress.

Repeatedly rotating my gessobord.

Collaging with scraps of tissue paper: light blue, darker blue, light yellow-green, and white-with-thin-lines.

Accentuating, veiling, overlapping, making subtly simpler here, introducing quiet complexity there.

Layer 8.

Sheila beat me to it. Saw it this morning but on my phone which doesn't give the image justice. Just got in, so now I can view on the BIG screen . Although scattered I love how the reds bring us together. Are those greens the green tissue paper,or painted green?
Quiet complexity Great !!!Oh and how big is this?

So much fun to hear impressions. Birds and feathers never once came to mind as I worked, but now I can feel that energy. Thanks, Sheila!

Thanks, Carol. 6x6" gessobord. The greens are greenish tissue paper collage on top of the washes of acrylic green from the previous day. The reds come across (to me, at least) as even more unifying when viewed directly than as seen here as photos on computer screens.
