Nuptials

From Pamela Duncan's novel Moon Women:

When we walked out of that building
married,
oh, honey,
the world ain’t dazzled me so
before or since.
They was a little breeze
stirring the river,
and the sun so bright
it bounced off the water
and the walls,
shimmering and sparkling
so we was nearly blinded.
Oh, it was pretty!

  1. I love this, Dotty......I was immediately drawn to the overlapping parts. Really nice!
And as far as your recent value exercises, they look awesome. WAY better than the ones I did! You're "seeing", and that is so important. Great perseverance. I need to do more of those myself. As always, I love your art and your writing!

    1. Hi Laurie, fun to have you be immediately drawn to the overlapping parts in my painting, since they were what I set out to create on this wedding card. Thanks for your feedback on my recent (well, not so recent, as it turns out!) values exercises. I hope to do additional ones soon. Finally, delighted that you enjoy my art and writing.
