Coming to Life (8)

How wonderful to recognize the presence

of a mistaken idea as a mistaken idea!

Such notions have power

only if they are believed in

and only as long as the belief lasts.

Even before truth is realized,

guilt, blame, and bitterness

begin to die, and inspired ideas

get born as we begin to see

what questionable ideas

we are living around.

Seeing mistaken ideas as what they are....sweet relief! And this painting - I mean, WHOA, Dotty! This is masterful! The impact of this little one - its voluptuous roundness in the center, the movement taking me through all the nooks and crannies, that white star-trail seeming to leave the very painting itself! Stunning.

ooooo, love that you feel the power and impact of this one, jen; that's what i was feeling as i took that quiet start and found the combustion within, an energy trailing from it as it moves and self-replenishing at the same time

'voluptuous roundness': yes!

LOVE this!!! I love the depth, it seems to be floating gently. Dreamily.
The magnified view is so breathtaking Dotty! I feel like I am in the painting! The scratchy, messiness on the right, the movement on the left. The fresh celery greens, the warm pinkish, reddish delight. JOY! Thank you Dotty! :)

Reminds me of the BIG BANG! Dynamic, explosive, and calming! "mistaken idea as a mistaken idea!" Really needed that!

Fun to have you mention the scratchy messiness on the right, Sheila. I sailed along with this piece with great delight until i went 'too far,' losing the energy and composition that had been dazzling me. Somehow, creating the scratchy messiness on the right brought everything back into balance again. Whew!

oo … I like that you see dynamic, explosive, AND calming, Carol. And that you see a (the) BIG BANG. Thank you for your feedback.

Mistaken ideas recognized: the best, and much needed (no shortage of mistaken ideas, that's for sure!)
