Streetable #7

Every single damn thing
that we are
or ever will be
is dependent on six inches of topsoil
and the fact that the rain comes
when it’s needed
and does not come
when it is not needed,
everything,
every …
single …
thing
comes with that luck.

I agree with Jen! These are amazing! I keep opening one after the other to learn your tricks and tips. I find post-editing so difficult but you seem to ease right in!

Carol, thanks for your accolades! And thanks for triggering a chuckle in me. This particular postcard let me ease right in to spruce it up (or birch it up or maple it up!) but many of these postcards have challenged, stumped, and bedeviled. Sometimes I triumph, sometimes not so much.

Always love your trees. Love this quote.
Going back for another look..... ;o)

I do love trees, and these were inviting because of their scrappiness. Have you read any Gary Paulsen, Sheila? He's an interesting man. I think I first read Hatchet, a youth survival story, and then I went on to read many others of both his many youth books and adult books, both fiction and non.
