Changing Course

I thought I was painting a field of wildflowers.

Work-in-Progress said, Nope.

I mixed up more greens and grays, covered the pops of wildflower color, added texture with gel medium, used India ink to introduce asemic writing, waited for my next operating instructions.

What luscious greens! Did you try the chromatic black! Shows more freedom! Actually, I see lots of hidden birds.

Hidden birds! Always fun to get someone else's (bird's eye!) view of what I've painted : )

Carol, no I didn't try the chromatic black yet—I'm playing catchup on my blog with the earlier stages of the painting I am currently putting finishing touches on.

WOWEE! This piece has ENERGY! And so much rich texture. I am drawn to the dark cavern toward the right of center. Delicious.

In you go—that cavern is beckoning for YOU!
