Summer Dance

I do like me a low-humidity, blue-skied, sun-and-light-breezes summer day—bare feet, a simple sundress, no fuss, no muss.

I snip a second 4x6" piece from my first Lake Champlain work-in-progress. Lose myself in the adventure of following the lead of one mark and then the next, while summer dances on my skin, and vacation memories play background music.

One cut leads to another! Wonderful gems hidden away! Opening this it shows up quite large and impelling!Strong shapes!

Carol, thx for your feedback re the strong shapes and hidden gems. This piece gave me a little run for its money—much of it came together intuitively, but some of it required trying one thing and another, revising, finessing, and tweaking.

There is a story here, and I want to turn the card and read every last detail :)

Always a story, but I love how the words don't really tell it here—'tis a wordless tale in the end.
