Lake Champlain, Day 5

[entry drafted at Lake Champlain 6/12/18]

We sleep all night with the French doors in the bedroom open to the attached screened porch overlooking Lake Champlain. A Mary-Poppins-like wind blasts the day in with vigor.

I let the fresh-off-the-lake bluster gust through me all day. Love its cleansing, invigorating energy, the intense feeling of charged weather.

First thought to mind was football! Love all the hidden messages! The leaf like stitching!

So grateful for your faithful commenting, Carol, and the LOL fun of knowing that this WIP brings football to mind! The hidden messages were fun to scout for, and fun to embed. I hadn't thought of the leaf pattern as stitching but I can totally see that; stitching, or maybe zippers : )

Thanks, Ann! I was just thinking about you. Are you in Europe (Spain?), or soon to leave?

I took only b&w and Liquitex "Parchment" w/ me on vacation by way of acrylics, along with some inks and oil pastels, using only neutrals. Loved working within the limitations.

Love the emerging thorny, snaggly shapes :)

Thorny, snaggly! There's a good chance I'll be getting pricked and snags when I return to work on this piece, Sheila!
