I absolutely LOVE the contrasts here! The fresh open painted parts vs the stained glass window effect! Voice heard!

Carol, your comments are so helpful and welcome—thank you for the specifics of the contrasts, i.e. the 'fresh open painted' v 'stained glass window effect,' and thank you for the very affirming 'voice heard.' Exquisitely stated, to the ears of this artist : )

Beautiful, Dotty! I immediately saw myself in church, on a sunny day, looking UP at this! It is simply gorgeous!

stained glass! Yes! But light...not heavy like some. Full of hope and blue skies...

I see ET riding off on his bicycle when I look at this one (with a stained glass background!)

Thanks for your notice of the tiny blues and tiny print, Simone. I love that stuff, too!

Laurie, thanks for your feedback. I totally love the in-church-sunny-day-looking-UP take on this piece : )

oh my gosh, such fun to hear impressions. Love that you feel lightness here, Jen, and hope and blue skies! Thank you.

Joje, knock my socks off: ET riding off on his bicycle! NEVER saw that one coming! Love it!

Also, n.b. your comment came directly through this time, with no side trip through spam; glory be! And beats me why!

So Dimensional. Don;t know if that is right... I find myself looking "through", to see what is beyond. How did you do that? And it feels as if each opening has a different view. Interesting... and very cool!

Sheila, love that this sparks you to look 'through.' As to how I did that? By happenstance—not by any intention to creatie dimensionality. I do love serendipity, gotta say! Thank you for your feedback.

Not sure how I missed this....But - love where it is going - I know you are not finished but it sure has good bones to add on to. I really like the snippets of text - they draw me in and I agree with Sheila - I too find myself looking 'through'.

I'm so glad I captured this part of the process in a post; it represents a fun transition point for me. Glad to hear you like the snippets of text—I've done a bunch of satisfying painting with print recently.
