Still in Giddy-Up Mode

Climbed back up on my Virgina weekend horse and gave it free rein again.

Romped over hills, ducked under branches, felt wind whipping my hair back.

weekend canvas, work in progress

Gallop on, Dotty! I love how this is developing. Could be finished now. Serene and soft. I’m secretly hoping those gorgeous greens In the background stay!

Grateful for your feedback, Laurie! I agree, close to finished. This has been a lovely piece to play with—very intuitive and organic. Never know when that will be the case. I'm loving the range of greens myself : )

Love the pinks in this one, Dotty. It amazes me that in a family of five daughters, pink was never our color. Maybe I’m making up for it now!

I'm enjoying the pinks here, too, Joje. You're right, pink was never our color. That said, one of us must have had pink when Muth made us each a gingham shirtwaist dress—and who believes that she DID??!

A virginia weekend horse! Yes, please! I am gaga about what is happening in this piece...keep romping!

I just pointed a horse in your direction, slapped it on the rump, and watched it head south. Be on the lookout!

Meanwhile, still romping here.

Imagery Master!! A double treat, your imaginative narration and the gorgeous works of art! I know, I know. But I do. Know full well the joy it brings now will only be enhanced by your further play. I love the greens. the pinks (not a pink girl either,) and those blues? Purples? Periwinkle!! Still has a feeling of Monet, but those black curlies and lines give it a playful air. So very YOU!

Sheila, thanks for your kind kudos for the 'double treat'—and for knowing me well enough to know there might be more to come! This piece has brought me nothing but delight thus far, a true romp with little to no fussing. YAY! Like you, I don't think of myself as a pink girl but, huh, there it is! Love that you tuned into the purples and periwinkle as well. I appreciate your seeing the playfulness here, and I'm grateful for your seeing 'me' here.

Thanks for the colour feedback, Janet. Yes, the giddyup feeling is awesome, and I bask whenever it is my great good fortune to experience it.
