Glad to see you got out your paints! I can almost see Matisse like figures dancing. Airy and delicate.

Islands in the stream. Rocks, boulders. Cool, crisp water.

Hi Dotty, I just googled for 'Watoga', and I saw all these beautiful dark brown loghouses come by. You must be in one of them, am I right?

I was so excited to get my paints out after several days of no painting. Given the rustic setting where I find myself, I'm making do reasonably well with my makeshift studio.

Matisse!

Thanks for your comments.

Sheila, love what you see here. Just got back from a hike in which there were islands in the stream, rocks, boulders, and cool crisp water, along with steep trails, wet leaves, and acorns everywhere. Lived to tell the tale!

Yes! We're in log cabin #24! You can probably locate us on the trail map at the Watoga site! A charmingly awkward little cabin with huge stone fireplace, all the firewood we want, queen sized bed in the main living space with the fireplace (love falling asleep to the sound of a crackling fire). Deer grazing in front of our cabin off and on. Wonderful!

Let me tell ya, these owls can really toss a hoot! So awesome in the otherwise startlingly quiet wooded mountains where we're hanging out this week. Thanks for stopping by to see this spritely little piece with its flames dancing.
