Tissue and Print

Rainy day. Wind, tossing the trees.

Replacement studio door installed, adjacent replacement bathroom door now in process.

Mess in my studio up to Category 3.

Grab another quadrant from one of my Takodah-inquiry starts.

Paint with tissue and print. Work still in process there, too.

Dotty, I love it how you keep exploring, even though the world around you is messy - you keep painting!

OMG! Rating our messes like hurricanes? Brilliant! Working even though the world is swirling around you? Bold. Love it.

Grateful for and heartened by your affirmation of my efforts, Simone! I take nourishment and find energy to keep on painting.

I hope my hurricane rating isn't disrespectful of those—i.e. yourself—who are actually living with bonafide hurricanes. The world is for sure swirling around me this week with nary a care for my petty self-referencing concerns! Yet on I go! Very appreciative of your vote of confidence, Jen. Thanks.

I gather you used the plain tissue paper to cover/veil part of the painting, and what is showing through in the under painting. Love how you define your shapes with pieces of print. We had some clouds and maybe 1 minute or less of sprinkles, hardly call it rain, but the fragrance was delightful.

Yes, plain tissue paper and tissue-paper used as lifting paper used to veil negative space outside the shapes; print used to define shapes.

Sprinkles of fragrance sound lovely!

Fun Dotty :) If only we could make all swirling storms ones of creativity and not destruction ;) It is a bright sunny morning, but the wind is kicking up here too. Nice cosmic reminder of how connected we all are :) Again I am torn, between not wanting to see any of this get covered or altered, and excitedly anticipating the next installment. :) Enjoy my friend!

I'm feeling so grateful for the how-connected-we-all-are.

Smiling at your experiencing that exquisite sensitivity to being between holding on and letting go : )

Thanks for your comments, Sheila.
