What to Do?

where I left off

What to do, what to do?

What happens if I add pattern/texture with stencil and spray paint?

Just Kidding 22717a [working title]

Pretty cool.

What happens if I use a sponge roller to veil the stenciling, and then scribble in it with a tooling stylus?

Just Kidding 22717b [working title]

How 'bout some complementary color? Some drips?

Just Kidding 22717c [working title]

How 'bout I let this percolate overnight?

I'm seeing the blue as water, and there are trees, and a city building with lots of windows reflecting in it. Love it!!

Sorry to blow up your comments, but I just saw something else. The last photo looks like the water might be frozen, and the scratches are bird footprints. :)

Katie, great fun to get all your feedback and impressions. Windows, on the facade of a city building, reflected in water! Ice! Bird footprints! Thanks so much.

This is so good Dotty! The gorgeous layers and the scratching to reveal what lies beneath. Love the drips and that complimentary colour....love seeing little bits of it in the scratches. So what will be next...will look forward to your impressions of today's work after letting this rest overnight.

Oh! Ouuu! Whoa!!! Love these transitions, and it was fun reading the comments too. Bird prints, love it!!! that bit of creamsicle orange is delightful :)

Thanks, Janet. The layers make me laugh when I think back to how many are on there starting with November 2015's original iteration—goodness only knows what layer was making itself known when I began scratching!

The creamsicle orange delights me as well. Will the birds eat the frozen treat I've provided them???

Thanks so much for sharing your process, your thoughts and follow through. That touch of orange really picks up the piece, and those blue icicle looking shapes help the eye travel, nice compliment to the patterns and scribbles. Found tissue papers...colored.. maybe they can order white. Have you ever used colored tissue paper?

Carol, thanks for your comments re orange, blue icicles, use of complements.

Yes, I've used colored tissue paper as collage.

Mine are very strong colors.
