CSI, SVU Update

Creativity Scene Investigation, Special Ventures Unit
Update 2/28/17

Evidence of tampering with evidence

When Vova and Vova II were cut up, with only scraps left behind, the scraps were taken and held as evidence by CSI, SVU.

Now two of those scraps have been reported in a new piece of work—a handmade greeting card, that arrived in Goffstown, NH, by post:

Nessie & Ned
3.5x4.5"; acrylic, ink, and collage on drawing paper, mounted on layers of card stock
abstract
2017

Authorities are investigating this new development.

I love this!!!! I am relieved that Nessie and Ned (cleverly disguised as 'scraps' at a CSI) have found their way into a new piece of artwork. Lucky recipient of Nessie and Ned. Love your attitude to the creative process - have a great day.

Janet, thanks for celebrating/honoring my playful attitude towards the creative process. Anything I can do to keep myself from getting overly serious is all to the good!

Wonderful,playful... nothing going to waste. There is a clew on the bottom right hand side. Keep positive, laugh at mistakes or what we may think mistakes... don't take ourselves too seriously. Great lesson.

Thanks, Carol.

I think the investigative team will be all over that clue!

Thanks for reflecting the don't-take-ourselves-too-seriously invitation back at me. I'm working on a piece now that I know needs ONE MORE THING to give it pop, but I've become attached to the piece and don't want to make a WRONG move. Time to get over it and dare to dare!

My first thought was a reminder of the ducks in our pool. Made me smile remembering their antics. Looks like these two arein a playful mood as well. Love your version of CSI and SVU. Now each time I see those titles I will think of you, and smile :)

I thought ducklike creatures as well, which is particularly fun because they are 'volunteer' ducks, ducks spontaneously generated by the cutting out of other shapes. Their polka dot markings make them look playful, almost like inflatable pool toys! Glad you're enjoying my CSI SVU riff : )

Oh, so Nessie and Ned are traveling. They do look like they're leaving the scene in a hurry! The story makes me laugh, Dotty! I love the energy in this!

Nessie and Ned are indeed on the lam! I don't have much confidence in the investigators, to tell you the truth—anyone who'd investigate creative scenes probably isn't left-brain strong to begin with. Thanks for your appreciation of the humor and energy : )
