Year-End Surprise

I received an unexpected email from Daily Paintworks this morning, announcing, "You're one of our DPW Facebook picks of the day!"

What fun to see Beside Walkers Falls Road there, and equally fun to see who it's hanging out with.

Go take a peek! You'll discover today's picks along with prior picks—paintings of all sorts from artists who keep up a daily or close-to-daily art practice.

I do, too; thanks. I am so into closeups—I love the 'discovered compositions,' with their lack of self-consciousness in so many cases.

Kol Ha Kavod!!!! Well done!!! Don't know how I missed this post! Wonderful close up, didn't recognize it from the original!

Thank you, thank you! Isn't it funny how different (and magnificent) a close-up can be?—a painting in its own right.

Congratulations Dotty. I really like this painting. Great colors

Thanks, Ann! The fun for me came from not thinking much about color in any color wheel sort of way—the initial paint on the card was pure off-loading of the last bits of paint on my brush while working on other things, and the later choices came from wanting to try the samples I had from Home Depot.
