Unknown Territory, #8

Even though I didn't see today's particular developments coming at all and still don't know where this painting is heading, for the first time I can feel an internal something nudging me towards completion/resolution.

It's a whole new world letting a painting and my inner self so fully be the guides.

I rotate my canvas often, mix colors as I go, use different supplies on different days. Today I moved with ease and intuition, using a palette knife and a foam brush.

Hmm, I just went to your blog address above, only to be greeted by a message saying: Sorry, the blog you were looking for does not exist. However, the name gilllianstgeorge is available to register! ?????

Looks like it's almost done, love the new direction with the addition of a darker blue. Great texture done with the palette knife. Awaiting episode #9

Sheila, thanks for your joyful, patient, faithful support and encouragement! One idea that is coming out of working large like this is that I could work large on paper instead of canvas and then go on a treasure hunt to extract—literally and physically—the mini masterpieces within.

Carol, thanks for your nod to the darker blue and palette knife texture—I 'lost' myself happily in painting yesterday. I'm awaiting episode #9 also!!!

Hi Dottie, technology is a pain! I just tried my blog address and it connected with no trouble. Meanwhile, I am not getting email notifications on my new blog posts, so presumably my followers are not either. I'd rather be painting than worrying about these details!
